As mothers, we are the guardians of our family, but we are dreamers too. When my eldest son was diagnosed with Stage 4 cancer, our days were filled with long hospital stays and countless prayers. I did all I could and then gave it to God.
In those long hours beside him, a childhood dream returned to write a mermaid novel. God gave me the strength to create light in the darkness, and The Lost Mermaid was born. My son lived for two cherished years after his diagnosis. During that sacred time, God blessed us with many miracles, including his marriage and the fulfillment of my dream to publish my first novel.
